I just returned home after completing a workshop titled “IT Project Management” which is organized by bdjobs. It was a day long workshop that was started from 9am and continued till 5pm. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Fahim Bhuiyan who is currently serving as a Manager in a leading strategy and technology consulting firm in the United States.
The whole day we have learned many fundamental to medium level concepts of Project Management (PM) and did many practical works. The workshop was conducted group wise as PM itself is a group work. We have formed 7 groups and carried out many objectives given by the conductor.
Mr. Fahim Bhuiyan was very friendly. He was knowledgeable too. He also shared some of his real life experiences. Though he desinged the workshop very fine and he was seems to be enough knowledgeable I (I believe most of the participant will unanimous) think there was some lack of presentation. We have no doubt that he has enough knowledge on IT track & Project Management and wide range of experiences; he is very fluent in English but don’t know why he could not present the things as he was supposed to do the same.
Anyway, being not a IT graduate, having interest on this track, it obviously added some value to my knowledge base. I have learned some key factors of PM and earned some elementary knowledge on it. I will believe this will accelerate my learning when I will jump into real life projects.
